This last week we had the opportunity to print and design table tents for Gilgamesh Brewing to promote their new beer: the “Terry Porter”. Named for the Portland Trailblazer, the beer was being produced by the brewery as a way to help donate money to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation. For every beer sold, Gilgamesh will donate $2 directly to the foundation – a great cause.
We were contacted by one of the owners of Gilgamesh at the end of last year to see if we would be able to provide him with a product that he envisioned to display alongside the beer in stores and on bar tops. Their idea was to create a 12”x12” table tent that would include a 12”x24” poster printed on the inside. The idea being: someone will see the tents on display at the bar / store, take one home with them and be able to tack it to the wall to display the full size poster printed on the inside. A really cool idea that we knew we’d be able to help out with.
The brewery had designed the inside and outside of the tents, so our job would be to produce them. The challenge on our end was to design a tent at that height that would be stable, regardless of the surface it was standing on or how busy the room/area was. In order to achieve this, we drilled a small hole at the top and bottom of the print to run a string through which would ensure that the tent would not fall over despite being in a crowded bar or store.
The end result came out really well and we’re happy that we were able to help out with such a great project for an amazing cause. As mentioned before – $2 from every beer sold goes directly to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation so grab one if you see them around!
